In a way that only a virtual world such as Second Life can manage, Fantasy Faire 2014 brought together two very diverse acts to entertain the crowds. Keeba Tammas and the Tiny Maniacs helping her were followed by Maximillion Kleene.
Being as this took place in Second Life and being as it was Fantasy Faire we had a mixture of the weird, the wonderful and the technical issues that people so readily brush aside.
In the first act the drummer came and went and then came back again without anyone really batting an eyelid.
Maximillion had to deal with a disappearing stream, which demonstrates the difficulties face when performing in Second Life but he carried on regardless and came back to entertain the crowd.
Keeba Tammas brought with her a band of such a weird mix that you had to be there to appreciate, no really, because it was very difficult to take pictures without crashing.
I wasn’t the only person who had difficulties with crashing, as listening and watching local chat revealed, but at such a busy event these things are expected and people just come back in a couple of minutes and carry on where they left off.
Some people look for those more secluded places to dance, whereas others prefer to be near the stage dancing away, in a variety of shapes and sizes.
I’m not sure how the performers cope with all these object updates but they talk to the crowd as well as singing away.
This was a very entertaining event, of course things would take a strange turn later in the evening when Rynn Verwood (AKA The Medhir Witch) was accused of spreading magic all over The Fairelands, a charge she could hardly deny. However rather than burn the witch, 50,000 Lindens Dollars were donated to Relay For Life by the crowd, Miss Verwood, clearly relieved, matched that figure and then the shadowy figure of Encaitaron Korobase added another 50,000 Linden Dollars, at which point it was decided that it might be best to free the witch rather than burn her!
All in all an entertaining evening of magic, music and fund raising.
thank you for this information this helps me a lot
