The Dwarfins store at Fantasy Faire 2013 is a hive of activity, that’s me in the foreground looking for a means of escape as their drunken bawdiness spills over into serious rowdiness. However The Dwarfins team have been working hard and Dwarfins Judy managed to introduce me to some of the wares they have for this year’s Faire, then afterwards I went photo snapping the Dwarfins staff….. I may have done this sneakily, although I’m sure this wasn’t the cause of the bar brawl!
“Well for a start we have Wizard and Enchantress Dwarfins – These are Dwarfins that are made specially for Fantasy Faire, we have tried to capture the colours of RFL as well as the magical and fantasy aspects of the faire. The Dwarfins each come with a special food that these people of magic particularly enjoy, a weeks supply of mushrooms. These Dwarfins will be sold at the faire with all proceeds going to RFL.”
“Interactive Magic Book – We felt that any good wizard and enchantress would have a book of magic, this book acts as an interactive with the dwarfins and will work with any dwarfin, it works as all of our interactives work, just set the book down within the range of your dwarfins and sit back and watch them practice their magic. (the red markers are just indicators to show you where the dwarfins will go to interact with the book, if you long left click on the book a menu will pop up allowing you to turn the markers off). The magic books will be sold at the faire with all proceeds going to RFL.”
“Interactive Andronicus Stone – As we continue through the story of the dwarfins (http://www.dwarfins.com/story/). The dwarfins have made their way out of the cave and are beginning to explore their surroundings and starting to build their own homes. Andronicus Stone is a stone that the dwarfins came across in the woods near their cave, it struck them as highly unusual that a stone that tall would stand up on it’s own in a clearing in the middle of the forest. They felt this was a sign from Andronicus himself and they now use it to worship him in the hopes that he will hear them and know that they miss being with him. The Andronicus Stone interactives will be sold at the faire with all proceeds going to RFL.”
“Wizard and Enchantress avatars – We are really excited to be involved in the hunt at the faire this year and it also gives us an opportunity to introduce faire goers to our line of rigged mesh avatars as these avatars are our hunt prize. We are steadily releasing more dwarf avatars, you can mix and match any of the pieces from any of the Dwarfin line of avatars.”
“Rinn and Rorek Rockbeard avatars – A new avatar that we are releasing at the Fantasy Faire. It gives players an opportunity to roleplay as the one of a kind dwarfins, even if they are not able to win the auction for them.”
“Then we also have the one of a kind dwarfins that will be auctioned off at the faire.”
However there’s more to The Dwarfins Store at Fantasy Faire than just seeing their items, helping to raise money for Relay For Life and being awestruck by the awesome nature of their delightful creations, you can also go staff spotting. There are plenty of good photo opportunities around the Fantasy Faire store and the staff are very friendly … although I did have my camera set to quiet snapshots to disk!
