SL11B kicked off on Sunday with a feast of events ranging from talks, DJ’s, Live musicians and many a funny hat. The scale of the events taking place is extremely impressive and I haven’t even started look at the exhibits.
Draxtor Despres’ two hour live show was rather impressive as the talk with Jo Yardley, Superflufee, loz Hyde, Skypinner Soulstar and Maxwell Graf went largely without a hitch.
Meanwhile DJ Mikedacook Dinzeo was spinning tunes in the extremely impressive sim of Impressive .. no that’s really its name!
Live music wasn’t far away and one of the many performers was Zelator Baphomet.
However it’s not all music and partying and back at the auditorium Taralynn Gravois was leading a discussion with Arduenn Schwartzman and Harter Fall bout 3d art.
However The Cake stage was calling me and Koko and The Kokonuts sounded rather appetising and there I ran into Loki Eliot, who was up way past his bedtime!
Obviously at events like this people will experience lag, crashes, swearing at their keyboard as they have the right angle for the photo they want and then they crash … maybe that’s just me! The amount of time and effort put into these events is often underestimated, but the organisers have made a superb start to the birthday celebrations, let’s hope it continues.
