Since the announcement that magic boxes are to be retired in April for ulimited quantity items, the merchants forum has seen posts from people to migrate. Dakota Linden has been given special dispensation to assist and Jessica Lyon from Firefox has also been offering advice there too.
CommerceTeam Linden (CTL) has also posted a FAQ, with FAQ’s …… I think you could have worked that out for yourselves! This is useful because it links to the direct delivery migration guide, which is a pretty essential source in this case.
However, there’s also a merchant outbox project viewer now available from the alernative viewers page on the wiki. The blurb for this viewer says:
“This viewer resolves remaining issues with the Merchant Outbox as laid out in WEB-4600”
I haven’t used this viewer myself so I can’t give an opinion on it or what it consists of, but it is available if you’re having issues. The forums are also available, so if Direct Delivery is getting you down, don’t despair, support is available, the Lindens are paying attention and so are those behind third party viewers.
However it’s the weekend now, so you may need to be patient and of course other issues are arising, I’ve seen posts about delivery failures but that’s probably unrelated to direct delivery migration.
It would seem that the lab has jumped the gun. Tonight I found all my marketplace 0 priced listings that were associated with magic boxes had been removed from listings. They are still in my Merchant dashboard but have been highlighted in pink and marked as “unlisted”. The option to make these pink highlighted items active is unavailable.
Considering I had decided to relist these items in the Direct Delivery format closer to the end of the month, I was a little annoyed to find them gone. But hey, previous experience should have prepared me!
Looks like it was a glitch with magic boxes, when I checked earlier on an alt all his magic box listings were unavailable and only direct delivery items were in his store but now they are all listed again.
Yes. Now mine are back up. Seems quite a few creators had the same issue.
Now dealing with another issue. Some kindly resident has decided to sell empty boxes on the marketplace under the guise of other peoples creations, including one of my own.

The items on this page are totally bogus. The images and text are ripped from other listings and the unsuspecting purchaser receives a shiny new prim cube for their Lindens.
The store name is the same as another store other than a full stop being added to the beginning.
Who would be a creator!
I have no idea what this viewer should do to help me but whatever is .. its not working..initializing like on every viewer I have tried before so I’m again at the beginning ( except that now I have a viewer more). My skin demos got unlisted today and I can’t use the stupid outbox, this is a nightmare. Thank you Linden Lab once again!
