Xiola Linden, Superstar, has posted on the official Second Life blog : Help Decide the Next Inworld Meetup Destination. These are meetups between The Lindens and residents and they are a lot of fun. Xiola states in the post :
It’s just about inworld meetup time, and since we’re in the habit of sharing some of our favorite spots from the Destination Guide, this weekend, we wanted to flip the script and find out from you what spot you think is one of the best to visit for our next inworld meetup.
I’ve been to a couple of meetups with The Lindens and they have both been at Meauxle Bureaux, home of the Second Life Moles.
However it seems as if The Lindens want to set sail to some new destinations, as Xiola explains in the blog post :
Share your recommendations in this forum thread – links to Destination Guide entry or SLURLS are best – and we’ll pick one to have our next inworld meetup.
The next meetup is planned for Thursday, May 14th at 1 PM SLT, so get your recommendations in soon!

Whereas Xiola does not mention it in her post, I would imagine they are looking for a general rated location in order to be all inclusive. Although that’s just my thoughts, I could be wrong, it has happened before, April 12th 1984 to be precise.
There are many nice locations throughout Second Life but before you suggest places, you should also have an idea of whether those places will be able to support a meetup. The last thing people want to do is to annoy land owners!
Personally I’d prefer somewhere Dwarfin friendly, with maybe some mead and fine company for mischief making. However as I will be somewhere in the mediterranean when this meetup takes place, feel free to suggest anywhere suitable. Hey, even Dwarfins appreciate some sea and sun from time to time.
In previous meetups I’ve seen The Lindens Storm Meauxle Bureaux and I’ve also been Flasmobbed By The Second Life Illuminati At Meauxle Bureaux As The Lindens Meet The Residents. As I said, these meetups are fun and plenty of Lindens show their faces. This is good because you actually see Lindens in many weird and wonderful guises, putting paid to the myth that The Lindens don’t have a clue what goes on inside Second Life.
The Lindens are also very friendly, although fair warning, Xiola may force you onto a fence and make you take photos, photos that a Dwarfin King may find compromising when he’s trying to conquer land. However that’s a minor price to pay for good community engagement … I think!
This is an opportunity to not only meet the Lindens, but also share good destinations with your fellow residents, even if they aren’t picked for the meetup, people will appreciate learning about new locations, so if you have some good ideas, share them in that forum thread.
