Being as it was Valentines day I decided to take my traditional tour away from my roleplaying sim and decided to let mere mortals feel my presence. I found myself at a busy event known as Kiss-A-Linden, yes your intrepid hero goes to events like this so that you don’t have to (although really you should if you have time). Now the first thing I noticed was that the event was busy, the second thing I noticed was that I wasn’t going to have subjects kneeling before me, as is expected custom, realising I’d left my guards at home I decided I’d just have to blend in as best as I could.
First up was Courtney Linden, winged and wonderful, now you’re going to have to trust me on this one because I don’t have any pics! Yes I know, pics or it didn’t happen, but trust me, I allowed Courtney to hug and kiss me. There was a queue for Courtney by the time I left.
Next up was Ms Marketplace, Brooke Linden:
Now rather impressively Brooke managed to get in a plug for the Second Life marketplace by advertising the fact that her Linden bear is available there. Now photography was difficult due to the fact that the place was so bloody busy, there’s also the issue of the poses used making my bum look humungous!
Next up, I allowed Miss Communication, Amanda Linden to kiss me, I’m not sure that these mortals realise just who they’re kissing, however it must be said that Amanda is a passionate participant and gave me a Mwah! However, just after this some magic beans were thrown my way that made my computer crash, big time! This is when I really realised the dangers of going out without my guards, I’m sure they’d have thwarted such attacks!
Now after recovering from Amanda’s Kiss, I moved onto Ms Marketing, Kim Linden, now being a marketing person Kim wasn’t shy about her availability, and said something along the lines of “Oi, anyone else want a kiss, or I’m off to do some marketing“, of course I gladly allowed her to kiss my regal self, before departing and watching a whole load of people arrive to keep the sparkling marketing executive occupied for the next half an hour at least!
Then I had a final look around, seeing that there was a queue now for Courtney that puts some of my adoring fan queues to shame I decided that battling the heaving crowds, slow rezzing and potentially more crashes was enough for this year and that I should head back to the safety of my roleplaying sim, just to make sure they haven’t been hunting another Octopus whilst I was away ….as they did yesterday!
During my travels I did bump into people, some of whom had belly danced on my sim, some of whom I hadn’t seen since Robin Linden’s leaving party and some of whom just wanted to say hello, ah the joys of socialising …twas fun!
