I’ll be doing a more in depth post on Paris in Second Life in the near future, at the moment, not at all surprisingly, it has a theme related to real life events about it and even in virtual worlds there’s a sense of mood. However it is a rather stunning build and contains a historical 1900’s theme in parts.

Visit in Second Life
Obviously The Eiffel Tower is a central focus point and here you’ll find people gathering around, some with placards, some with Mesh avatars I can’t see due to the AMD drivers not playing nicely with Second Life. However there’s much more to this location than the Eiffel Tower.
This street points me to Notre Dame Cathedral, The Eiffel Tower and Victor Hugo’s house. There’s plenty to explore and plenty to see and as I said, I’ll be doing a more in depth blog post soon. The 1900’s theme is one that can be seen with Victorian era type clothing on models around but obviously, because Second Life can achieve this, there are more modern themes and shopping experiences to be had.
Paris 1900
Return to Paris circa 1900, a time when romance and revolution were in the air and the Moulin Rouge was the hottest ticket in town. Rent a car and stop by some of the city’s greatest landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Le Arc de Triomph, and the Great Ferris Wheel just as they were at the turn of the century.
Visit in Second Life
As you’d expect from a French theme, this is a stylish place to visit but at the moment, it’s also a place that’s worth visiting to show support for our French friends in the virtual world.
This is a place that would be worth a visit at any time and I wish I’d visited before now and in happier times. The music stream is quite funky too with some beautiful old French songs being played.
If you haven’t been here before, it’s well worth a visit.
