Dwarfins Continued Evolvement Is Good For Second Life

Dwarfins Bar Brawl

The Dwarfins team have been busy evolving the Dwarfin experience, back in October they announced the release of achivements to compliment the breedable experience. More achievements were announced shortly after with more in the pipeline.

Achievements add a new dimension to the Dwarfin experience, rather than just concentrating on traits you can now pick up bonuses along the way. Most of the achievements are birth related, for example if you manage to birth a Dwarfin with 7 miner traits, you wll earn the 7T miner achievement. This gives a lease of life to miner traits. However there are a couple of traits that aren’t birth related, for example if you mine up 8 special items then you earn the Dirt Master award …..

Getting Merry

The Achievements allow you to earn gold, which can be spent on certain items in the Dwarfins store, so there’s a method to this madness, and trust me, bar hopping with Dwarfins is certainly madness, they drink and sing bawdy songs at the drop of a hat!

The fact that The Dwarfins are evolving is encouraging, new ideas bring new people to the table, rather than letting those already at the top of the gene pool stay there until it all stagnates, new features and innovation take matters to new dimensions.

I’d like to see The Dwarfins expand to other virtual worlds too, such as Cloud Party, but that would take a hell of a lot of work!

The Dwarfins will be once again be making an appearance at The Magic Of Christmas Breedables Fair, which runs from December 1st – 15th and is part of the relay for life fundraising efforts in Second Life. The breedables fair is the sister event to the Xmas Expo and it was at that event last year that I first stumbled into The Dwarfins.

Dwarfins

They quickly led me astray!

Dwarves on the lash!

The Dwarfins team were interviewed by Draxtor Despres for The Drax Files episode 11, which demonstrates them in action and once again shows the power of virtual worlds, in this case how people from Honolulu can team up with someone in Belgium to create a product. Good stuff as you’d expect from The Drax Files.

This also shows why The Dwarfins are good for Second Life, they need land to prosper and people using land is what Second Life thrives on.
