Hi out there! I know I know you haven’t heard from me for quite awhile, well here I am! Guess what! Its almost RFL time again in SL. So get ready for some amazing events and fund raisers and great deals as Second Life, once again, comes together to take a bite out of cancer! I will officially be blogging as we race into Relay!

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF HOPE!
FORMING A RELAY FOR LIFE OF SECOND LIFE TEAM:
Forming a Relay For Life team in Second Life is an important undertaking. It will be a lot work and a huge commitment, but one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have in Second Life. You and your team will become part of the Relay family, and together we will raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer!
Your role as a Team Captain is to engage your team and to keep them motivated and focused on success. There will be some Team Captain Training/Informational Meetings you will need to attend as we proceed into Relay For Life 2013 fundraising season.
You will need to form a team of people, including a Captain and Co-captain, and pick a name for your team. Teams names must be approved by the Teams Chair and will not have sexually explicit connotations, inappropriate wording or curse words. There are no restrictions on how big your team can be, but a team needs to have at least 2 members. Pick your team members carefully, you need people who are willing to work hard, help develop fundraising ideas, and be willing to carry them out. To make communication easier you might form an SL group with your team name. Or use one of SLs mailbox systems found on the Marketplace.
After registration, a member of the Teams Coordination Committee will pass along information you need to take you into the exciting, rewarding and inspiring season of Relay For Life of Second life fundraising. You will always have the Coaches Committee to reach out to with any questions and they look forward to meeting you at your fundraising events.
Team Captains will be registering their teams at the RFL of SL website starting February 8, 2013.
Please join the group, Relay For Life Volunteers and opt to receive notices so that you will be able to stay updated with the seasons latest tools, news and events.
