The Alt-Zoom Disco, DaBoom 2003.
So there I was rooting around Governor Marley’s Linden’s mansion when I found myself in the basement and found pictures and notecards from 2003. My how the world has changed. I actually thought that might be The Governor in the picture, but closer inspection suggests not. Second Life is a very big place, I mean there I was thinking I’d travelled the world and the seven seas when I discover Meshinima and Flufee!
Seriously, how have I missed this? Flufee, for those whom don’t know it, is a Mesh avatar, possibly in love with a prim lady, exemplifying improvements in Second Life since 2003 and using other backdrops for adventures! I thought I’d spotted Flufee partying on the grid, but it seems I’d saw something completely different!
Now I’m having to play catch up with Season 1 of Flufee so that I can get on to Season 2! Fortunately the episodes are short. Flufee is a production brought to us by a collaboration of Second Life legends such as Gianna Borgnine of Sandcastle studios and Metareality Podcast fame, Pooky Amsterdam of Pooky Media fame as well as using props from legendary creators such as Damien Fate, as well as many others and then there’s Draxtor Despres and Qarl! Haha only joking, Draxtor is very heavily involved and Qarl seems to do some voice work but I haven’t checked all the credits to see exactly what everyone contributes.
I’m not really sure how this has managed to pass me by, well other than working full time, getting stuck in Blender, wondering why the heck I can’t get a payment accepted at Flickr, seeking truth and justice, being an evil drow wizard, blogging, reading, but besides that, I’m not sure how this has managed to pass me by!
Anyway, here’s the pilot episode:
