Details are slowly emerging about Fantasy Faire 2012 for Second Life, my chief Elf slipped me some early details, which include information on how to apply for a store, as well as some ground rules. Some of the info is ahead of its time, the link to the blog points to last year’s blog, which was a lot of fun, it’s early days. Those interested in this event are free to use the poster to promote it, although from my experience last year, mentioning the event in the official forum gets your post deleted, so I won’t be doing that again! Notecard details below the cut.
Friends Fighting Cancer and the American Cancer Society eagerly invite you to participate in Fantasy Faire 2012, Second Life’s largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts & performers. Join us April 21-29, for a week of commerce, special events, live music concerts & fundraising over 9 sims to benefit Relay for Life and the fight against cancer.
Bringing together the top Creators from a wide range of fantasy genres, the Fantasy Faire strives to showcase the depth and breadth of SL’s fantastical possibilities and that’s why we’re contacting you.
As the fourth Fantasy Faire of Second Life, Friends Fighting Cancer is projecting an even higher turn-out both for Creators and for visitors. We plan to make it fun and easy for hundreds of people to find you and your products.
There are a number of ways you can be involved:
FANTASY FAIRE PARTICIPATION LEVELS:
a) Themed Store (TEN per themed sim) – L$2500, 25 x 15m store & 350 prims allocation
b) Featured Creator Store (SIX per themed sim) – L$ 8,000, 30 x 25m store & 700 prims allocation (Centrally placed near sim sponsor & sim landing point ) .
c) Event Sponsor – L$30,000 (THREE still available) (Advertising on the Faire arrival / event sim & promotional material.)
d) Sim Sponsor (only ONE per themed sim) – L$50,000 ** ONLY ONE LEFT ** (See online registration form for instructions on how to apply for this spot if interested) 40 x 30m x 2 floors store & 1400 prim allocation (Prominent store centrally located at sim landing point, advertising on all entries to your sim & promotional material.)
*** HOW TO APPLY ***
* Themed & Featured Creator Stores *
To apply just visit the following website and complete the form there as soon as possible (but NO LATER than March 20th): http://tinyurl.com/FantasyFaire2012
Remember we were booked out last year and these positions WILL fill fast! With only SEVENTEEN stores per sim, we encourage you to apply sooner rather then later to secure a store. We will accept you in order of application, receipt of your donation and available space.
All we require is that you have **at least** two (2) items for sale, preferably four (4), that benefit Relay for Life. Friends Fighting Cancer will provide you with the Vendor for these items prior to the set-up dates.
A group invitation to ” * * FFC Fantasy Faire – Backstage * * ” and information pack will be sent when your application is processed & donation received. ELIZABETH TINSLEY will contact you with payment information for the donation as she processes your application. ALL payment is going to a dedicated official Faire treasury account avatar (so do NOT drop payment to anyone else) who will then forward the donation to the RFL. (All transaction histories are available for examination on request and will be sent to RFL.)
The 2012 Fantasy Faire will be more magical with you by our side. We can’t wait to work with you to make this amazing event a record breaker for Friends Fighting Cancer and for the American Cancer Society.
Feel free to use the attached poster on your blogs, to your groups or around your store to help promote Fantasy Faire this year and post pictures of your RFL vendor and auction items in our Flickr group.
Thank you, Elizabeth Tinsley Executive Director, Fantasy Faire 2012

Thanks; FF is one of the GREATEST Events in SL.
It is indeed, it showcases buildings, communities and raises money for charity, fabulous event.
“although from my experience last year, mentioning the event in the official forum gets your post deleted,”
O.o ?
Un-allowed commercial spam, or just ‘moderator slipped and fell on the delete button again’?
Probably “moderator is sitting on his brain”, as usual.
Commercial spam I assume, someone must have reported it and the post got pulled.
