Fantasy Faire 2019 Literary Festival Celebrates Ursula K. Le Guin and Elizabeth Bear

The Literary Festival (LitFest) will celebrate its fifth anniversary at this year’s Fantasy Faire 2019 and this year, the event will have a decidedly science fiction, as well as fantasy element.

Wednesday April 24th will be Ursula K. Le Guin Day, where LitFest will celebrate Ursula’s work with readings from her work as well as having a ball with a “A Wizard in Earthsea Party: The LitFest Ball”.

I will provide more details on this day when I have more information, but there’s plenty more to see and do at Litfest, including an inworld visit from special guest of honour, multi award winning author Elizabeth Bear.

Fantasy Faire 2019 Set to Open Today

Fanatsy Faire 2019 is set to open at 12:00 SLT today with a packed agenda including partying, dance performances, roleplaying, literary festival and more.

The best place to keep an eye on forthcoming events is on the official calendar, this is arguably best viewed in agenda view.

There are also pages, which contain more information on events in each category on the official Fantasy Faire 2019 website, I will provide a link to those pages in the lists below.

Today’s party schedule includes :

1 – 3 PM: DJ AineMari Flanagan at the Fairechylde
3 – 5 PM: DJ Fiz at the Fairechylde
4 – 6 PM: DJ Ari Spark at Urafiki
5 – 7 PM: DJ ColeMarie Soleil at the Fairechylde
7 – 9 PM: DJ ĦΔZΔRĐ at the Fairechylde
8 – 10 PM: DJ Linnie at Urafiki

Fantasy Faire 2019 Store Registrations Open

On March 1st Sonya Marmurek announced that registrations for Fantasy Faire 2019 are now open. There is no deadline for registration but the sooner you get your application in, the better.

Fantasy Faire 2019 in Second Life runs from April 18th – May 5th and the setup for creators begins on April 15th, so you will want to have your applications in well before then. Three of the regions are already sold out.

Fantasy Faire 2019 – The Press Release

Fantasy Faire 2018 raised L$12,500,000 (US$50,000) for the American Cancer Society as part of the Relay For Life fundraising efforts in Second Life.

Fantasy Faire 2019 is just 55 days away, scheduled to run from April 18th until May 5th the event will be a magical extravaganza of all things fantasy in Second Life.

Details of the exact activities, locations and applications will appear over the next few weeks, you can keep your eyes on the Fantasy Faire 2019 website for the latest details.

Fantasy Faire House of Garland Quest Still On

Fantasy Faire 2018 is enjoying its extension until May 7th and so are people who are still on The House of Garland quest at this year’s event.

The quest calls upon a prominent hero to accompany a prominent knight on a prestigious mission. Previous experience is not required but an ability to think and walk in a virtual world at the same time, is desired.

Once again The Bardic Order of the Fairelands is in trouble and needs your help to assist them to assist the Bard Queen against The Unweaver.
