Off In Search Of Some Sunshine

Matanzas Dock

Whereas the virtual world offers some gorgeous seaside views, it doesn’t quite replicate the aroma of actually being by the seaside. There’s no sea breeze, sun traps, the feel of sand on your feet.

Therefore I’ll be off for the next fortnight or so in search of some physical world sunshine, ambience, hopefully not too many hangovers and a rather relaxing time reading books published on paper.

I’m unlikely to blog much during this period, indeed it’s highly unlikely I’ll blog at all. This is a shame in many ways as there’s a lot going on.

Inara Pey has been covering a hell of a lot of good subjects that I haven’t got around to taking a look at, including; taking a look at Valyria, created by the excellent Calas Galadhon team of Tymus Tenk and Truck Meredith.

Inara has also been keeping us up to date with the wonderful work of the Seanchai Library, which I don’t cover anywhere near as much as I’d like to.

Inara has also been posting about MadPea Games latest venture, Peatonville Bay.

Inara has also been informing us all about High Fidelity’s September update.

There’s a lot of good information there and I wish I had time to cover a quarter of them, but suitcases need to be packed. However beyond Inara, a great place to keep up to date with the statistical side of Second Life is at Tyche Shepherd’s Grid Survey. There’s a lot of good and fun stats there and looking at the old incident report charts is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Hopefully I’ll return refreshed, relaxed and raring to dive right back into the virtual world in a couple of weeks.

Do have a wonderful break with plenty of relaxation and sunshine. Enjoy yourself and – above all – come back safe and refreshed!

    1. Thank you kind young lady, it was nice for the most part, a little bit of over indulgence and realising I’m too old for that at times but it was refreshing and good to read on paper instead of on a screen.
