Litfest<\/a>, ah Litfest, now in its fourth year as part of Fantasy Faire and getting better by the minute.<\/p>\n

I found myself in a hall of story with many other attendees to await the arrival of author Tom Lloyd<\/a>. A few technical glitches later and Tom arrived, to read from his new book.<\/p>\n

There was much talk of britches in this reading, seemed like the sort of bawdy tale that could be told in a tavern. I therefore enjoyed it very much.<\/p>\n

Later Tom engaged in an interview with David Abbott and took questions from the audience. Tom later told me :<\/p>\n

Never had my computer refuse to work quite so comprehensively before, but in the end that was great fun!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Great fun indeed, but that’s the beauty of Litfest and there’s plenty left in the tank for this year.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, April 25th, is George R.R. Martin day<\/a> with discussions, readings and of course a party planned.<\/p>\n

The day after David Abbott will be back talking to another author in the shape and form of Danie Ware.<\/p>\n

On top of that there’s creative writing, poetry, region tours and they even have time to organise a couple of Shakespeare plays in the shape and form of Much Ado About Nothing and A Misummer Night’s Dream.<\/p>\n

For my part, I found myself talking to a talking unicorn.<\/p>\n

\"Catching<\/a><\/p>\n

There’s a story there I’m sure, I just haven’t worked out how to tell it yet.<\/p>\n

Stories, writing, reading, performances, this is all such a lot of fun, don’t be shy, most participants don’t bite.<\/p>\n
