Draxtor Despres (AKA Bernhard Drax), of The Drax Files : World Makers<\/a> fame, is scheduled to speak at Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education<\/a> on Saturday April 1st at 3.00pm SLT.<\/p>\n

Draxtor’s discussion is entitled : “Will VR Matter in Education? Lessons Learned from a Second Life Documentarian\u2019s 10 Year Life<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Draxtor’s talk is part of the Above The Book<\/a> sessions at this year’s conference and from that link we can see that Draxtor has a very wide level of experience in media and virtual world creativity.<\/p>\n

A champion of user-created digital content in VR he is well known for the award-winning mixed-reality documentary series \u201cThe Drax Files: World Makers\u201d on YouTube.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bernhard has delivered trans-media concepts for clients such as MIT, the MacArthur Foundation and was lead developer for the Emmy nominated PBS project \u201cDeep Down: The Virtual Mine\u201d.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Therefore it’s good to see Draxtor bringing his experience to an educational discussion.<\/p>\n
