Sonya Marmurek, one of the magical organisers of Fantasy Faire 2017, brings us news on the regions that will adorn this year’s fantastical fundraising event as part of the Relay for Life of Second Life<\/a> fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n

In a post entitled Fairelands on the Horizon<\/a> Sonya informs us that this year’s event will involve a whopping fifteen regions. There’s also news on applications for stores and participation<\/a> at the event, although it should be noted that some of the regions are already sold out in terms of store space.<\/p>\n

\"Saffia<\/a><\/p>\n

The regions are :<\/p>\n

Chaddul Ro<\/strong> – Searlait Nitschke<\/p>\n

Described as an outpost of the Orcs of Chal Khizzur, where a beacon brings hope and sanctuary as long as the fires of the outpost are lit.<\/p>\n

Dawn\u2019s Promise<\/strong> – Marcus Inkpen\/Sharni Azalee<\/p>\n

Described as being full of hope and promise and a place where old is reborn as the new. Crumbling ruins will be found here too.<\/p>\n

Egregore<\/strong> – Mayah Parx<\/p>\n

Described as being a place where darkness is immersed in light.<\/p>\n

Fallen Sands<\/strong> – Sweetgwendoline Bailey\/Eldowyn Inshan<\/p>\n

Described as being Steampunk with a touch of the Orient and Arabia.<\/p>\n

The Hill<\/strong> – Kilik Lekvoda<\/p>\n

Described as a peaceful village where mushrooms and friendships grow.<\/p>\n

\"Me<\/a><\/p>\n

Mudrana<\/strong> – Alrunia Ahn (My Chief Elf)\/Luna Barak<\/p>\n

Described as being a place whose very existence is dependent upon the godfrog being being kept awake.<\/p>\n

Raven\u2019s Perch<\/strong> – Kaelis Ember\/lrriven<\/p>\n

Described as a gothic dream.<\/p>\n

The Rose<\/strong> – Alia Baroque<\/p>\n

Described as a place of opulence, elegance and murderous thoughts.<\/p>\n

San Mora<\/strong> – Jaimy Hancroft\/Eowyn Swords<\/p>\n

Described as being left in ruins after a deadly contagion, but a place where amongst the chaos and ruins, people still roam.<\/p>\n

The Spirit Pool<\/strong> – Kayle Matzerath<\/p>\n

Described as being a place where mermaids and seafolk trade their wares as well as being on the border of the physical and spirit realms.<\/p>\n

\"Dangamon\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fairelands Junction<\/strong> – Saiyge Lotus<\/p>\n

This will be the main landing point from where you can travel to other regions.<\/p>\n

Opal Flight<\/strong> – Haveit Neox\/Lilia Artis<\/p>\n

This will be the arts and entertainment sim with theatre and dance promised.<\/p>\n

Morbus<\/strong> – Kilik Lekvoda\/Kayle Matzerath<\/p>\n

This is where brave adventurers should head if they want to take part in the hunt quest.<\/p>\n

Kakushi Pasu<\/strong> – Lokii Violet<\/p>\n

This will be the literary festival sim and it’s always good to attend the literary events.<\/p>\n

Anansi<\/strong> – Beq Janus\/Polysail<\/p>\n

Described as the wordling cradle, fairelands that could have been or may yet be, I’m not quite sure what this means.<\/p>\n

\"Bright<\/a><\/p>\n

Participation in this year’s event takes many forms and the Fantasy Faire store registration page<\/a> provides information on the varying levels of participation and prices.<\/p>\n

There are opportunities for themed stores, creator stores and sponsorship opportunities. There are also opportunities to take part in the silent auction or to provide a prize for the hunt.<\/p>\n
