\"Galanthus\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Galanthus – The Ice Keep of Niphus is listed in the Castles & Ruins<\/a> section of the Second Life destination guide and comes with a story :<\/p>\n

Winter came with draught and suffering. Lords of the north had very little choice but to retreat. So did the lord of Galanthus. A land so fertile and green. People so brave and loyal. Will so strong. But\u2026. Winter came to Galanthus as much as it came to all.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lord of Galanthus retreated to his ice keep of Niphus with the remaining people of his lordship.<\/em><\/p>\n

There he hoped to return one day stronger.<\/em><\/p>\n

Built 2000 years before his time the mighty keep of Niphus is beautiful but old. \u0130ts tunnels are deep and mysterious. The ancient arena is still with blood and the few remaining knights still honour their lord with their lance in tournaments.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The sim describes itself as Semi-RP, which the handily provided notecard informs me means that the sim is an RP sim, but has very few rules.<\/p>\n

\"Justice?\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The sim is the second episode of the legacy, the first, Galanthus, was created by\u00a0Ozgur Portilo and his partner,\u00a0Mina Pelazzi, a few years ago. The same couple have created this second episode too.<\/p>\n

\"Arena\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There are some recommended modes of transport to explore the sim by. Boats are one way of travel and they can be found in four locations. Another mode of transport is by Dragon! Dragons can be found on the roof of The Ice Keep, they can carry two avatars and in an additional twist, they can damage each other.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course if this isn’t for you, then you can fly or explore on foot. The latter is useful if you find the tunnels below ground, as you can run past crypts and bodies. Alternatively you may want to check out the jousting area, the arena or The Marketplace.<\/p>\n

\"Tunnels\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Map and notecard, which you should receive on arrival at the landing point are worth taking note of because they provide some extra information on ways you can best enjoy your visit. The dress code is Medieval or Gor but they say that if you don’t have the right attire, then you’re ok to explore too.<\/p>\n

However bear in mind that this is an adult region and the owners do not frown upon adult activities. I did not witness anything remotely adult going on when I visited but bear in mind the rules and regulations of the region.<\/p>\n

Whereas many of us are entering the summer months,\u00a0Galanthus – The Ice Keep of Niphus paints a cold and chilling picture on the Second Life landscape, but it is done very well.<\/p>\n
