\"Spires<\/a><\/p>\n

I set off on the epic journey from the land of Dwarfins<\/a> to Fantasy Faire<\/a> in Second Life with just a few belongings. I had been given some tips, don’t drink too much mead, eat properly, don’t talk to strangers .. too much and most of all, head for The Spires Of Andolys as a first port of call. Spires Of Andolys, I was reliably informed, was a Dwarfin friendly region.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at Fairelands Juction, by means of teleportation, I looked for the magic portal. There were several portals at the landing zone but the one I was looking for was easy to find, largely due to a bright sign decreeing that this was indeed the way to The Spires Of Andolys.<\/p>\n

\"Spires<\/a><\/p>\n

After taking a step through the portal I arrived in a bright land, complete with a fairy tale looking castle and colourful buildings. I checked my notes, there were two points of interest, one being the mystery location of The Dwarfins and the other being a shop called Spires Of Andolys.<\/p>\n

\"Spires<\/a><\/p>\n

I found the shop first. This was, I was reliably informed, the work of Jaimy Hancroft, who is a lead designer with The Dwarfins. This all sounded a bit human to me but I sat outside the shop and ate some breakfast hoping that Jaimy would appear and guide me in the right direction. Unfortunately Jaimy was busy elsehwere and therefore I was left to my own devices. I decided to continue my journey through the the streets of The Spires Of Andolys.<\/p>\n

\"Spires<\/a><\/p>\n

The streets were easy enough to traverse, despite the fact that there were a lot of visitors. I overheard one person saying “This region is full, my friends can’t teleport here<\/em>“. Ah, that’s what happens on day one of a big event I thought to myself.<\/p>\n

\"Knight<\/a><\/p>\n

Next I found a place called The White Armory, where I introduced myself to a knight. Unfortunately the Knight was not very talkative and therefore I was none the wiser as to where I would find my Dwarfin brethren. However I walked on.<\/p>\n

\"Stitched\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A darkened corner perturbed me somewhat, but I discovered a store called Stitched. This seemed to be a purveyor of fine female clothing, but it was not quite what I was looking for. I then retraced my steps and found myself at the entrance to the fairy tale castle and there I noticed the sign “DWARFINS<\/strong>“. Onwards I marched, through the entrance, but what I would find within shocked me somewhat.<\/p>\n

\"Magical<\/a><\/p>\n

Several characters were engaged in some sort of magical combat. Light emitted from wands as they battled each other. I sneaked around them, this seemed to be an intense battle. Whereas Wizardly Dwarfins are not exactly new, these wands seemed to produce a new element to the world.<\/p>\n

Behind the battle I spied a store, advertising wands, so I decided to enter the store.<\/p>\n

\"Wand<\/a><\/p>\n

Once inside I noticed a mysterious character behind the counter. There seemed to be no shortage of spellbooks here. The character smiled at me “We’ve been expecting you, would you like a potion?<\/em>” he asked.<\/p>\n

I paused and replied “I would rather have mead<\/em>“, when the character arched his eyebrows I queried “Do you sell tea?<\/em>”<\/p>\n

The character chuckled, “I’m sure we can manage that, I hope you have a pleasant stay with us<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

I’m hoping for a pleasant stay too, but with so much more to see at The Fairelands, I’m not sure if I’ll have time to get to the bottom of these wand wars or even discover exactly who this mysterious wand seller is.<\/p>\n
