This was exemplified well in a recent excellent interview Ebbe Altberg gave to Dean Takahashi on Venture Beat :\u00a0<a title=\"Venture Beat Article\" href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2014\/11\/17\/linden-lab-explores-virtual-reality-for-its-next-generation-virtual-world-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\">Linden Lab explores VR for its next-generation virtual world (interview)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Second Life Image - Island Village by Linden Lab, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lindenlab\/14815812747\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5563\/14815812747_26bfddd1c7.jpg?resize=500%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Second Life Image - Island Village\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I mean that looks like my kind of village and the next one doesn&#8217;t look bad either :<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Venice by Linden Lab, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lindenlab\/15179729796\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3916\/15179729796_2d7404b250.jpg?resize=500%2C265&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Venice\" width=\"500\" height=\"265\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The main difference between the top and bottom one is that I know where the bottom one is because <a title=\"Ziki Questi\" href=\"http:\/\/zikiquesti.blogspot.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ziki Questi<\/a> added a comment on Flickr. The second photo is of a sim called Venexia. Now obviously this Flickr resource is merely designed to provide decent images of Second Life, rather than the old outdated ones, but for those of us who like to explore, it would be nice if at least the name of the sim appeared.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Obviously Linden Lab may feel it&#8217;s risky putting links or place names in. They may be accused of bias, the sims may disappear, the sim may be, shock horror, an adult sim! I can understand a little reluctance in terms of adding the location but on the other hand, I also think LL may be missing a trick by not including the location.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Second Life Image - Steampunk Pirate Ship by Linden Lab, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lindenlab\/14815633889\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3881\/14815633889_241fbbcc93.jpg?resize=500%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Second Life Image - Steampunk Pirate Ship\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maybe Linden Lab are worried that they will be flouting Flickr&#8217;s rules if they include any more information.
