Season 2 of The Blackened Mirror draws closer. This Second Life based machinima drama will soon be coming to a website or maybe even a sim near you soon. The new season launches on Sunday December 1st and features names from Second Life as well as people who have worked on the stage, TV, film and radio.<\/p>\n

From Second Life we have the likes of Saffia Widdershins of prim perfect fame<\/a>. Saffia is the executive producer and director. Also from Second Life is the assistant director in the shape and form of Honour Macmillan<\/a> …… wait wait wait, when did this happen? Nobody told me Honour was assistant director! Damn there’s an interview waiting to happen! Honour is also an excellent photographer and wordsmith as she knows there’s a U in Honour.<\/p>\n

From the world of Film and TV there are quite a few actually, amongst them are; Scott Simpson (Second Life’s Zander Greene)<\/a>, who has appeared in over a dozen film and TV appearances as well as being a voice actor and a massive star in terms of Second Life’s Relay For Life effort.\u00a0Then there’s Christy Grantham<\/a> who has been in the acting game for over 25 years. Gameela Wright<\/a> who has been involved in acting for over 15 years.\u00a0Then there’s voice actor Juliet Cesario<\/a> who has voice acting credits for Sesame Street amongst other projects.<\/p>\n

Then there’s Peter Jurasik<\/a> who played Sid the snitch in Hill Street Blues (Editor, mention the other role!) oh ok oh yes he played Londo Mollari in Babylon 5.<\/p>\n

There are more people involved whom I haven’t mentioned, very interesting team involved in this.<\/p>\n

Now the episodes for The Blackened Mirror are generally short, less than ten minutes so there’s plenty of time to catch up on season 1 before season 2 launches, or even after season 2 launches. Season 2 picks up where season 1 left off, however to avoid spoilers, I won’t tell you where that is!<\/p>\n

The Blackened Mirror is created in Second Life and brings together elements of film noir, steampunk, classic Lovecraftian horror – and more! Originally presented as a segment of the Treet.tv show HAPPY HUNTING!, THE BLACKENED MIRROR, it has moved on to be a show in its own right.<\/p>\n

Now if you don’t have a Second Life account or don’t want one, then don’t worry! The Blackened Mirror can be viewed from the safety of your own home on a computer that is nowhere near Second Life (although personally I’d say you’re missing out by not having a Second Life account).<\/p>\n
