Relay For Life® of Second Life® is thrilled to announce that KittyCatS! has created a special RFL of SL ‘Seasons of Hope’ breedable KittyCatS! collection to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Looking adorable and cute, the special ‘Seasons of Hope’ themed kitties were presented at the Home Expo on Saturday May 14. They will be on sale right through to Relay weekend in July.
Callie Cline and Equinox Pinion of KittyCatS presented the new kitties on the Home Expo’s Main Stage at 12:30pm SLT on Saturday May 14, followed by a live music concert with Mankind Tracer.
This marks the first time that RFL of SL has joined in a partnership of this type and the RFL of SL committee looks forward to the KittyCatS’ presence at Relay team events, at the Home Expo, and at Relay weekend, right alongside the Linden Bears.
‘We’re really honored to have been asked to partner with RFL and to be a sponsor at the Home Expo’ says Callie Cline. ‘It’s very exciting for the pet and breedables community as a whole, as well.
‘Creating these cats was a really touching experience for me as I have had a lot of people in my life die from cancer and in making these cats I thought of them and how they had impacted my life. So in each of these cats is a bit of some pretty amazing people who truly were with me during many seasons of my life and given me a lot of hope.’

This year marks the fourth anniversary of the Home Garden & Patio Expo benefiting Relay For Life of Second Life. The 2011 Expo opened on Friday, May 13 at noon and will remain open 24 hours each day until it closes on May 22 at 10pm SLT . This year’s Expo spans TEN Second Life sims, with over 100 exhibits, more entertainment and more ways to benefit Relay For Life, too!

UrbanizeD was created on Valentines Day 2009, on the Deizha estate. A spur of the moment decision of Pitschs’ to take his RL, creative background and unleash it on SL. What started out as rental homes, quickly changed into landscaping and designing furniture. To bring the rentals up to the standard Pitsch had in mind he has had to continually keep learning to create that what SL had not previously offered. This evolution continues still, to this day. Every collection shows progress on all sides of the process – textures, animations, and shapes. Raising the bar is part of what UrbanizeD exceeds at. They also have a pretty extensive landscaping section as well, including “Kissing Trees”, that let you kiss and dance and cuddle on the branches, try one out.
There is also a pretty great Midnight Mania board. All new releases go in it (a Lite version of course). They try to have new releases twice a week, and the full version of those items can be purchased 1/2 off until the board changes.

There is a new item for the store twice a week. The new release are put into the Midnight Mania Board. It’s a lite version of the new release (usually 2-5 animations – the full version usually has around 50-100 animations). There’s always something pretty nice on the board, come slap it as you’re looking around!

Passion, passionate – these words define Damian Carbenell, the man and his music.
Damian Carbenell is a young man who has beenpassionate about his song, his music, his life since before he can remember. At the ripe age of, well, forever, it was his uncle, who was in an 80’s hair band, who was fun, childish in nature, big into music, who introduced Damian to what has become his way of life.
Damian doesn’t remember a time when he wasn’t singing. He was beating on pots and pans by 5. When he was in the 1st grade he entered a school talent show. He was the youngest one there, and second to last to perform. With his grandfather playing guitar, Damian sang “Let there be peace on Earth“. He sang to a packed audience, but when he was finished there was not a sound made. At first he thought no one liked it, he couldn’t understand why everyone was so quiet. He didn’t understand that at the time we were at war (Desert Storm) and there were tears in the eyes of his audience. Damian had chosen THAT song because it was a song he sang in church. It was THAT night; he said he felt that the fates came together. THAT night was the night the fire was lit…..his passion….his direction.
