Fantasy Faire 2020 is set to open on April 23rd and is scheduled to run until May 10th.

This will be the 12th Fantasy Faire in Second Life and looks set to be as fun packed ever with a series of events, roleplaying, shopping experiences, DJ’s, live performances and a literary festival that features a guest appearance from author Fran Wilde.

Fantasy Faire Reaches Its Target and Receives US$20,000 Boost.

Fantasy Faire 2019 had a target of raising US$40,000 for the American Cancer Society as part of its Relay For Life fundraising efforts.

News then arrived that if Fantasy Faire did indeed reach its target, an anonymous organisation would add US$20,000 to the pot.

The good news is that US$40,000 has been raised by Second Life residents and the US$20,000 has been donated by the anonymous organisation.

Fantasy Faire 2019 – The Press Release

Fantasy Faire 2019

Fantasy Faire 2018 raised L$12,500,000 (US$50,000) for the American Cancer Society as part of the Relay For Life fundraising efforts in Second Life.

Fantasy Faire 2019 is just 55 days away, scheduled to run from April 18th until May 5th the event will be a magical extravaganza of all things fantasy in Second Life.

Details of the exact activities, locations and applications will appear over the next few weeks, you can keep your eyes on the Fantasy Faire 2019 website for the latest details.

Fantasy Faire 2018 has opened its doors with a packed agenda including DJ’s, Theatre, Roleplaying,  Literary Festival events and more, you can read all about today’s events here.

Fantasy Faire Call For Merchants, Sponsors and Bloggers

Fantasy Faire in Second Life turns 10 this year and plans are well underway for the event which takes place April 19th – 29th.

The first steps for this year’s event were announced by Sonya Marmurek on 22nd February and in that link you will find an application form for merchants and sponsors.

This year’s event will host ten regions for merchants to ply their wares and raise money for Relay For Life, but as I type this I can see that seven of those ten regions are already sold out.

Sponsorship options are already selling out too but fear not, there are other ways to get involved. Fantasy Faire Radio has sponsorship opportunities.

There are also opportunities to get involved in the auctions and the hunt, so don’t despair if you feel you’re too late to apply to get involved, there are still plenty of ways to get involved.
