Going To The Max, also known as For Max, a Second Life event for Second Life creators Maxwell Graf and Lyyric Fei opened on October 3rd and will run until October 10th.
The event was created after a Plurk post revealed that Maxwell and Lyyric had run into some very unexpected and serious problems outside the virtual world.
Max encouraged people to buy items from his Rustica store to help out with the unexpected situation but Second Life friends of Max decided to go a step further.
Charlotte Bartlett, Sophia Harlow and Blazin Arubet decided to organise a shopping event and it’s that event that is running now.
On top of that Inara Pey has reported that Kylie Sabra is running an art exhibition in her gallery with 90% of proceeds going to Max and Lyrric. Inara’s post also includes more information regarding the shopping event.
I’ve known Max for quite a number of years, I’ve seen him in Cloud Party, Sansar and of course, Second Life. He has been an influential member of the community, helpful, forthright, moustached and many other things.
The event is well worth a visit.
